The MBTA is currently reconstructing stations on the Mattapan High Speed Line. During reconstruction, trolley service was replaced by shuttle buses. Trolley service resumed on December 22, 2007.[1][2] The Mattapan Station renovation includes new station platforms and shelters and a new building for MBTA operations with a community room. In addition a mixed-use transit oriented development (TOD) is being built on the former parking lot adjacent to the station.[3][4]
This station is accessible using mini high platforms.
